Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026. This policy explains how Rightvo handles your information.

Overview

Rightvo respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, what we do not collect, how your data is stored, and your rights as a user.

Complaint information you provide during the intake process is used only to generate your case report and, where appropriate, to improve the service. We do not sell your personal data.

What information is collected

When you use Rightvo, we may collect:

  • Dispute details — information you enter about your complaint, including the retailer, product or service, purchase details, and what happened.
  • Evidence selections — the types of evidence you indicate you hold (for example, receipts, photos, or emails).
  • Technical data — basic usage information such as page views, browser type, and device type for analytics and error monitoring.
  • Contact information — if you contact us directly, we collect the details you provide (such as your name and email address).

Free and paid features

Rightvo offers a free initial case assessment preview, including structured scoring and guidance based on the information you provide.

The Rightvo Complete Case Pack is a one-time paid purchase (currently £7.99). Payment is processed securely by Stripe. Rightvo does not directly store your full payment card details — card information is handled by Stripe during checkout.

What is NOT collected

Rightvo does not intentionally collect:

  • Full payment card or banking details — these are processed by Stripe and are not stored by Rightvo.
  • Government-issued identification numbers.
  • Precise location data or GPS coordinates.
  • Sensitive personal data beyond what you voluntarily provide in your complaint description.

We ask that you avoid including unnecessary personal information (such as full home addresses or third-party details) in free-text fields unless relevant to your dispute.

How data is stored

Complaint information is processed to generate your case report. Data is stored using industry-standard security practices appropriate to the stage of the service.

Case data entered during a session is used to produce your report. We do not retain complaint text in error monitoring systems — only technical diagnostic information is logged when errors occur.

We review our data handling practices regularly and will update this policy as the service evolves.

Analytics

We use analytics tools to understand how the service is used — for example, which pages are visited and how long the intake process takes. This helps us improve Rightvo for all users.

Analytics data is aggregated where possible and does not include the content of your complaint or generated documents.

Cookies

Rightvo may use essential cookies required for the service to function, and optional analytics cookies to understand usage patterns.

You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect how some features work.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Request access to personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data, subject to legal obligations.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing activities.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details below.
